A long time coming! Breeding Wirruna Leap Forward over a Fletcher daughter putting modern carcase traits into a cow family featuring breed greats NJW Vaquero and Braxton Dynasty in the background.
Longevity is a feature of the cows in the maternal side of this bull. Grand dam Moonbeam Y114 produced us 10 calves. Moonbeam U6 had 8 calves and Moonbeam K96 produced 15. This was all started by Braxton Moonbeam 6507, purchased from Doreen and the late Don Goodall in 1988.
Flagstaff Klingon P6 boasts an outstanding set of EBVs. He currently holds the top figure, +$188, in the country for Hereford Prime Maternal Index for all 2018 born calves as well as the top figure for Dairy Terminal Index of +$125. This is followed by an impressive line up of traits appearing in the top 1% in NZ including Carcase Weight, Eye Muscle Area and IMF as well as Export Maternal Index. To round it off the following traits are in the top 5%: Calving Ease DIR, Gestation Length, 200, 400 and 600 Day Weights.

We pride ourselves on producing cattle that are at the top end of New Zealand Hereford Genetics
Our overall goal is to produce sires that will breed cattle that finish at 300kg or better by 18 months or heavier weights over a longer period without becoming over-fat
